Happy Holidays from the Vignaus!

I can't believe it, it's our second Holiday Season in India!
Who would have ever thought we'd have a first?? much less a second!

We are deeply missing all of our friends and family at this time of year. We are grateful we have the internet to keep us connected.

The kids are great. Annika is 7 and enjoying 2nd grade. She has turned into a terrific reader and actually enjoys curling up with a book at bed time. It's sweet when we catch August curled up in her bed too while she reads him a story. Her hobbies include fashion, make-up and loving all dogs no matter what their social standing.
Annika:
"I miss you i love you and merry christmas"

August is 5.5 and enjoying Kindergarten (Prep II). He's also doing a great job reading and recognizing site words. Unfortunately he has taken this technique to new heights by typing YouTube into the computer then copying the titles of his favorite Wii games into the search window. He could watch other people play video games for hours if you'd let him. His hobbies include terrorizing his sister and running fast.
August:
"I miss you and I know the Wii and I love the Wii and I love it so much the Wii
La la la la la la!!!"

Our biggest news is also our newest news... Erik just changed companies. As of 4th January 2010 he will be the Head of Production for Paprikaas Studio in Bangalore. We are so excited. This opportunity is a wonderful challenge for Erik PLUS it will keep us in India longer - so those of you who couldn't visit due to pregnancies or infant children you should start saving your frequent flier miles!!
Paprikaas has been working closely with DDU from the inception of the studio so Erik is familiar with them and they are familiar with him. It's a great match. Paprikaas will be working on the animated TV shows The Penguins of Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda - great high profile shows. Very exciting.

Helen is trying to keep busy. I mean, I'm busy all day long but often have nothing to show for it. With our extension in India I'd like to make better use of my time and get more involved. Find a new charity, one where the kids can be involved too, take a music lesson (probably the drum since I'm not musically inclined) and get more into healthy Indian cooking.

NAMASTE!!!
